A simple cheese slide, or a cheese roll, is a good way to make cheese rolls and other savory rolls.
Here’s how to make them.
Place a layer of white cheese on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Cover with foil.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Brush the edges of the foil with oil and place the cheese on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Use a fork to lift the cheese up and roll it around the edge.
Repeat with the remaining cheese and place on the parchment-lined sheet.
Brush each side of the parchment with oil.
Roll the cheese around the outside of the baking sheets to form a cylinder.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and brush with oil to finish.
While baking, transfer the cheese to a cutting board, and press the cheese onto the paper with your fingertips.
Repeat the process with the rest of the cheese.
